Care & safety

Fill with tap water up to the MAX line. Never run it empty.

Lower items in gently so they don't touch the bottom or overlap. Don't put metal items in the tank.

Don't use bleach, alcohol, toothpaste or other abrasive cleaners.

Keep the lid closed while it runs and don't look directly at the UV light.

Charge with the included cable and a certified 5 V adapter.

If you're pregnant or have a pacemaker, check with your doctor before using it.

Is it gentle on clear aligners?

Ultrasonic cleaning uses room-temperature water and vibration, with no brushing or abrasive paste, so it is gentle on clear plastic. Always follow the care instructions from your orthodontist or aligner provider.

Do I need a special cleaning solution?

No. Tap water is all you need. You can add a denture or retainer cleaning tablet if you like, but it isn't required.

What does the UV light do?

UV light is widely used for surface hygiene, from toothbrush holders to phone sanitisers. In the Orthelle Pod it switches on automatically with every cycle, so your retainer gets ultrasonic cleaning and UV light together, with nothing extra to do.

How long does a clean take?

Choose from three modes: Gentle (3 minutes), Standard (5 minutes) or Strong (10 minutes). It switches itself off when it's done.

Does it need to be plugged in?

No. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, so you can use it cordless. Charge it with the included USB-C cable.

How often should I use it?

Once a day is ideal, while you brush your teeth. Rinse the tank and let it air-dry afterwards.
